Overview
The Office of the Secretary provides strategic leadership and administrative support to ensure that the Gauteng Provincial Legislature operates effectively, transparently and in accordance with the rule of law.
The Secretary is the Accounting Officer of the Legislature and is responsible for the overall administration, management of resources and provision of institutional support to the Speaker, Members of the Legislature and parliamentary structures.
Key functions
Provides procedural, legal and administrative support to the Legislature.
Oversees the efficient and effective management of the Legislature's resources and operations.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies and legislative prescripts.
Supports the Speaker and Members of the Legislature in fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities.
