Mandate

The Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) is responsible for considering and reviewing the Auditor-General’s reports and oversight reports on the financial affairs of the Gauteng Provincial Government and its public entities.

The Committee promotes accountability, transparency and good governance by monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and ensuring effective, efficient and economical use of public resources.
